Guided Reading Practice at Home- Text Features & Text Structure (Description)
Please RECORD your small group instruction book that you read with the teacher. Max of TEN min. It may not be your traditional reading, your child may be discussing strategies during instruction. Return your book DAILY.
Some students focused on looking for DESCRIPTION--- words or phrases that help us to create a picture in our mind that helps us to comprehend the text. Read one paragraph then look for the signal words or phrases that use description.
